Job Description

If so, Cleveland Clinic is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for our Pediatrics department. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting our team of healthcare professionals in providing high-quality care to our young patients.   1. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to pediatric patients and their families.
  2. Demonstrate a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
  3. Assist the healthcare team in providing high-quality care to pediatric patients.
  4. Prepare and maintain medical records, including updating patient information and documenting care provided.
  5. Perform basic medical procedures, such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and dressing wounds, under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
  6. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure a positive and comfortable experience for all.
  7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and equipment in accordance with clinic standards.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  9. Assist in scheduling appointments, coordinating referrals, and obtaining necessary authorizations for patient care.
  10. Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of current healthcare practices and procedures to provide the highest level of care to pediatric patients.
  11. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care for pediatric patients.
  12. Demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent customer service and promoting a positive image of the clinic.
  13. Adhere to all clinic policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality and following HIPAA regulations.
  14. Act as a patient advocate, addressing any concerns or needs of pediatric patients and their families.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, even in high-stress and demanding situations.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Credential From An Accredited Institution.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Pediatric Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Pediatric Medical Terminology And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Particularly When Interacting With Children And Their Parents Or Guardians.

  • Ability To Multitask And Handle A Fast-Paced Environment While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
