  1. Coordinate and manage patient flow throughout the Cleveland Clinic facilities, ensuring a smooth and efficient process for patients.
  2. Collaborate with various departments, including nursing, admissions, and discharge planning, to ensure timely and appropriate patient movement.
  3. Monitor and maintain patient bed availability and make necessary arrangements for transfers or admissions.
  4. Communicate with patients and their families to provide updates on wait times and any delays in the patient flow process.
  5. Identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise in patient flow, and work to resolve them in a timely manner.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient movement and bed availability.
  7. Utilize electronic systems to track and manage patient flow, including discharge processes and bed assignments.
  8. Participate in daily huddles and meetings to discuss patient flow and address any potential concerns.
  9. Implement and maintain best practices in patient flow to ensure efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to identify areas for improvement in patient flow processes and make recommendations for change.
  11. Provide guidance and support to other staff members regarding patient flow procedures and protocols.
  12. Stay informed of industry trends and changes in healthcare regulations related to patient flow and make necessary adjustments to processes.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations in handling patient information.
  14. Continuously seek ways to improve patient flow and overall patient experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role Within A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Operations, Including Patient Flow, Bed Management, And Discharge Processes.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Departments And Staff Members.

  • Proficiency In Electronic Medical Record Systems And Data Analysis, With The Ability To Use Data To Identify And Implement Process Improvements.
