  1. Provide comprehensive nutrition care to critically ill patients within the Cleveland Clinic.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement nutrition plans for patients.
  3. Conduct nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans for patients.
  4. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and make necessary adjustments to nutrition plans.
  5. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper nutrition and dietary needs.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in critical care nutrition.
  7. Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise on nutrition-related topics.
  8. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as ethical and regulatory guidelines.
  10. Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  11. Act as a resource to other healthcare professionals regarding nutrition interventions for critically ill patients.
  12. Maintain professional development by attending conferences, workshops, and other educational opportunities.
  13. Demonstrate excellent communication skills in order to effectively work with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  14. Display a strong commitment to patient care and the mission and values of the Cleveland Clinic.
  15. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition Or Related Field: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Registered Dietitian (Rd) Credential: Candidates Must Be A Registered Dietitian With The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr). This Credential Ensures That The Individual Has Met The Rigorous Education And Experience Requirements Necessary To Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy.

  • Advanced Certification In Critical Care Nutrition: Candidates Must Have Advanced Certification In Critical Care Nutrition, Such As The Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (Cnsc) Or Board Certified Specialist In Critical Care Nutrition (Bscn). This Demonstrates Specialized Knowledge And Skills In Providing Nutrition Support To Critically Ill Patients.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Critical Care Nutrition Support: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Providing Nutrition Support To Critically Ill Patients. This Experience Should Include Developing And Implementing Nutrition Care Plans, Monitoring And Adjusting Nutrition Support, And Collaborating With Interdisciplinary Teams.

  • Knowledge Of Current Evidence-Based Practices And Guidelines: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Current Evidence-Based Practices And Guidelines Related To Critical Care Nutrition Support. This Includes Staying Up To Date On The Latest Research And Being Able To Apply It To Patient Care.
