RN Ambulatory - Cardiac Surgery

Cleveland Clinic is looking for a highly motivated and passionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory Cardiac Surgery team. Our ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, and have a strong commitment to providing the highest quality of patient care.The RN Ambulatory – Cardiac Surgery will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care and support to cardiac surgery patients throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative stages.The successful candidate must possess an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, be a licensed RN in the state of Ohio, and have at least two years of cardiac surgery experience. In addition, the candidate must have a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide comprehensive nursing care and support to cardiac surgery patients throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative stages.
2. Identify patient needs and develop nursing care plans accordingly.
3. Monitor patient progress and responses to treatment plans.
4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
5. Educate patients and family members about cardiac surgery and post-operative care.
6. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure excellence in patient care.
7. Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals and maintain accurate patient records.
8. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures.
