- Develop and implement tax accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Lead and manage a team of tax professionals to ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns and financial statements
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and advise senior management on potential impacts to the company
- Manage tax audits and controversy matters, including responding to inquiries from tax authorities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement tax planning opportunities
- Conduct research and analysis to support tax planning and compliance efforts
- Review and approve tax filings, estimates, and other related documents
- Develop and maintain relationships with external tax advisors and consultants
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on tax matters
- Continuously evaluate and improve tax processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Mentor and train junior tax professionals to develop their skills and knowledge in tax accounting and controversy.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Tax Accounting And Controversy, Preferably In A Large Multinational Corporation Or Consulting Firm.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field; Advanced Degree Or Cpa Certification Preferred.
Strong Knowledge Of Domestic And International Tax Laws, Regulations, And Compliance Requirements.
Demonstrated Experience In Managing Tax Audits And Controversy Matters, Including Successful Resolution Of Disputes With Tax Authorities.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Senior Management.
