Develop modernization strategies for clients' legacy systems, specifically in the areas of Java and Mainframe technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design solutions that align with the latest technologies and best practices.
Lead the implementation of modernization projects, including managing timelines, resources, and deliverables.
Conduct thorough assessments of current legacy systems and identify areas for improvement and modernization.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure successful project delivery.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology to continuously improve modernization strategies.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their specific requirements.
Prepare project plans and documentation, including architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and project reports.
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that modernization projects meet the highest standards.
Communicate project progress and updates to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during the modernization process.
Ensure compliance with company and industry standards and regulations.
Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to modernization projects.
Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify new opportunities for modernization services.
Participate in industry events and conferences to showcase Cognizant's modernization capabilities and expertise.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Java And Mainframe Technologies, Including Programming Languages Such As Cobol, Jcl, And Java Frameworks Like Spring And Hibernate.
Strong Understanding Of Modernization Techniques And Strategies For Legacy Systems, Including Cloud Migration, Microservices Architecture, And Api Integration.
Ability To Lead And Guide A Team Of Developers And Architects In Designing And Implementing Modernization Solutions, While Also Providing Technical Guidance And Support.
In-Depth Understanding Of Devops Practices And Tools, Such As Jenkins, Ansible, And Docker, To Automate And Streamline The Modernization Process.
Proven Track Record Of Successful Implementation Of Java And Mainframe Modernization Projects, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Progress And Address Any Challenges Or Roadblocks With Clients And Stakeholders.
