Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated POS Quality Analyst Tester to join our team at Cognizant. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our Point of Sales (POS) systems. Your attention to detail and strong analytical skills will be key in identifying and resolving any issues that may arise during testing. Design and execute test plans and test cases for POS systems to ensure optimal functionality and quality.
Identify and report any issues or defects found during testing.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Conduct regression testing to ensure previous issues have been resolved and new features have not caused any new problems.
Communicate with developers and business analysts to understand system requirements and translate them into test cases.
Participate in the design and development of automated testing scripts.
Conduct performance testing to ensure system stability and responsiveness.
Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and standards for POS systems.
Document and maintain test results, defects, and other relevant information for future reference.
Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the overall quality and functionality of POS systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and efficient testing process.
Work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks and projects.
Meet project deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
Train and mentor other team members as needed.
Continuously improve testing processes and procedures to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Software Testing, Preferably In Pos Systems.
Strong Knowledge Of Software Development Life Cycle (Sdlc) And Testing Methodologies.
Experience With Test Management Tools Such As Hp Alm Or Jira.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Report Software Defects.
