1. Manage all aspects of federal tax compliance for Colgate-Palmolive, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all filings.
2. Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize the company's federal tax liability and optimize tax savings opportunities.
3. Stay up-to-date on changes in federal tax laws and regulations, and proactively advise the company on potential impacts and opportunities.
4. Collaborate with other members of the tax team and cross-functional departments to ensure alignment and consistency in tax strategy and reporting.
5. Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in all aspects of federal tax compliance and planning.
6. Review and analyze complex data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities to enhance tax efficiency.
7. Manage relationships with external tax advisors and government agencies, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
8. Communicate and present tax strategies, updates, and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
9. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including accounting, legal, and finance teams.
10. Monitor and manage federal tax audits and inquiries, providing timely and accurate responses to tax authorities.
11. Proactively identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies to streamline tax compliance and reporting processes.
12. Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies related to federal tax.
13. Represent the company in industry and professional associations, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
14. Perform other ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by the Director of Tax.
