- Oversee and manage daily logistics operations within assigned area, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to Costco warehouses.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity within the logistics area, while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics associates, providing guidance, support and training to help them reach their full potential.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to optimize processes.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and inventory management, to ensure smooth coordination of logistics activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and carriers to negotiate favorable rates and service agreements.
- Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate tracking and reporting of inventory levels.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain high standards of quality control and identify potential issues.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in logistics technology and implement relevant changes to improve operations.
- Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management, highlighting areas of success and opportunities for improvement.
- Uphold the values and standards of Costco Wholesale and serve as a role model for all employees.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Logistics, Or A Related Field.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Abilities.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Logistics Management, Preferably In A Retail Or Warehouse Environment.
Strong Leadership Skills With Experience Managing A Team Of 10 Or More Employees.
Knowledge Of Supply Chain Management And Experience With Inventory Control Systems.
