- Manage and oversee all logistics operations for Costco Wholesale, including the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses and stores.
- Develop and implement efficient and effective logistics strategies to improve processes and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers, warehouses, and stores to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Supervise and lead a team of logistics coordinators to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards in all logistics operations.
- Work closely with other departments, such as procurement and inventory management, to ensure alignment and coordination of logistics activities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other logistics partners.
- Continuously evaluate and negotiate contracts with logistics providers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in logistics operations.
- Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in logistics operations.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for logistics operations and ensure their implementation.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to provide updates on logistics operations and address any issues or concerns.
- Manage logistics budget and monitor expenses to ensure cost-efficiency.
- Uphold the company's values and work towards achieving excellence in all aspects of logistics operations.
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Logistics Or Supply Chain Management, Preferably In A Retail Or Wholesale Environment.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team, With A Focus On Fostering A Positive And Collaborative Work Environment.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Make Data-Driven Decisions And Identify Areas For Process Improvement.
Knowledge Of Transportation And Distribution Systems, As Well As Experience With Inventory Management And Supply Chain Optimization.
