  1. Conduct regular audits and inspections of the warehouse to identify potential security risks and prevent loss of merchandise.
  2. Monitor and analyze CCTV footage to identify and investigate suspicious activity or theft.
  3. Collaborate with store management and other team members to develop and implement loss prevention strategies and procedures.
  4. Train and educate employees on loss prevention techniques and protocols.
  5. Conduct thorough investigations into reported incidents of theft or loss and provide detailed reports to management.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all theft and loss incidents, including documentation of evidence and witness statements.
  7. Stay updated on current industry trends and best practices in loss prevention to continuously improve processes and procedures.
  8. Respond promptly and appropriately to any emergency situations, including medical emergencies and fire alarms.
  9. Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and employees regarding loss prevention policies and procedures.
  10. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information and investigations.
  11. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed to resolve theft or loss incidents.
  12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership for assigned tasks.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  14. Handle any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the Loss Prevention Manager.

  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Procedures: A Strong Understanding Of Loss Prevention Policies And Procedures Is Essential For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Security Systems, Cctv Surveillance, And Inventory Control Methods.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Loss Prevention Clerk, Attention To Detail Is Crucial. This Includes Being Able To Identify Potential Security Risks And Discrepancies In Inventory Records.

  • Strong Communication Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Both Internal And External Stakeholders Is Important In This Role. This Includes Collaborating With Other Departments, As Well As Communicating With Law Enforcement And External Security Agencies.

  • Analytical Skills: A Successful Loss Prevention Clerk Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills In Order To Identify Patterns And Trends That May Indicate Potential Theft Or Fraud. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Data And Generate Reports.

  • Physical Fitness: This Role May Require Physical Tasks Such As Monitoring Cctv Surveillance Footage, Conducting Physical Inventory Audits, And Apprehending Potential Shoplifters. Therefore, Physical Fitness And The Ability To Stand For Long Periods Of Time Are Important Qualifications For This Job.
