  1. Monitor and oversee all security and safety protocols in the Costco Wholesale warehouse.
  2. Conduct routine checks and audits to identify and prevent any instances of theft or loss.
  3. Work closely with the Loss Prevention team to develop and implement strategies to minimize loss and increase security.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure all security procedures are being followed correctly.
  5. Investigate and report any suspicious or illegal activity to the Loss Prevention Manager.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all security incidents and report them to the appropriate parties.
  7. Monitor surveillance cameras and respond promptly to any security concerns.
  8. Provide excellent customer service to all employees and customers while enforcing security protocols.
  9. Conduct regular training sessions for employees on loss prevention, security procedures, and emergency protocols.
  10. Stay updated on the latest security technology and techniques to continuously improve and enhance loss prevention efforts.
  11. Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers by promptly addressing any safety hazards or concerns.
  12. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to resolve security issues.
  13. Communicate effectively with management and employees regarding any security updates or changes.
  14. Uphold the values and standards of Costco Wholesale at all times.
  15. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including code of conduct and ethical guidelines.

  • Knowledge Of Loss Prevention Techniques And Procedures: A Loss Prevention Clerk Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Security And Loss Prevention Techniques, Including Cctv Monitoring, Theft Prevention, And Inventory Control.

  • Attention To Detail: This Role Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Identify Potential Risks And Prevent Loss Of Merchandise. A Loss Prevention Clerk Should Have The Ability To Notice Small Discrepancies And Investigate Them Further.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In This Role As A Loss Prevention Clerk Will Be Required To Interact With Other Team Members, Customers, And Law Enforcement Officials. The Ability To Communicate Clearly And Effectively Is Crucial In Preventing And Resolving Incidents.

  • Physical Fitness And Stamina: This Role May Require Standing For Long Periods, Walking Long Distances, And Working In Various Weather Conditions. A Loss Prevention Clerk Should Have The Physical Fitness And Stamina To Perform These Tasks Effectively.

  • Ability To Handle Sensitive Information: A Loss Prevention Clerk May Be Exposed To Sensitive Information, Such As Surveillance Footage, Internal Investigations, And Confidential Employee Information. They Should Have The Ability To Handle This Information With Discretion And Maintain Confidentiality At All Times.
