3. Maintaining inventory: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of medications and supplies, and notify management when supplies are low.
4. Providing exceptional customer service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide information about medications and other products. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
5. Processing prescriptions: Receive, review and process prescription orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
6. Maintaining records: Enter and maintain accurate patient and medication information in pharmacy computer system. Keep records of all transactions and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
7. Adhering to safety protocols: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safe handling and administration of medications.
8. Collaborating with team members: Work collaboratively with other pharmacy technicians and team members to ensure smooth operation of the pharmacy.
9. Ensuring compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to pharmacy practices, including HIPAA, FDA, and DEA regulations.
10. Continuous learning: Stay updated on new medications, technologies, and industry developments through training and professional development opportunities.
11. Maintaining cleanliness: Keep the pharmacy area clean, organized and well-stocked.
12. Following company policies: Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to customer service, safety, and confidentiality.
