- Inspect and maintain power equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor.

Prior Experience Operating Heavy Equipment: A Power Equipment Operator At Costco Wholesale Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Operating Heavy Equipment, Such As Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, And Order Pickers.
Valid Certification Or License: A Valid Certification Or License To Operate The Specific Types Of Equipment Used At Costco, Such As A Forklift Certification, Is Necessary For This Role. This Ensures That The Operator Has Received Proper Training And Can Safely Handle The Equipment.
Physical Stamina And Dexterity: This Job Requires The Ability To Stand, Walk, And Lift Heavy Objects For Extended Periods Of Time. A Power Equipment Operator Should Also Have Good Hand-Eye Coordination And Be Able To Maneuver Equipment In Tight Spaces.
Attention To Detail: As A Power Equipment Operator, It Is Crucial To Pay Attention To Details And Follow Safety Protocols To Prevent Accidents And Damages To Products. This Includes Proper Stacking And Securing Of Merchandise On Pallets And Following Proper Loading And Unloading Procedures.
Strong Communication Skills: A Power Equipment Operator Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Other Team Members And Supervisors To Ensure Efficient And Safe Operation Of The Equipment. They Should Also Be Able To Follow Instructions And Report Any Issues Or Malfunctions Promptly.
