- Operate various types of heavy machinery, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Conduct pre-operational checks and inspections on all power equipment before use.
- Load and unload merchandise from trucks and other vehicles using power equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely movement of products throughout the warehouse and distribution center.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries while operating power equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and distribution center, including performing routine maintenance on power equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to efficiently complete tasks and meet warehouse goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operation of the warehouse.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise with power equipment.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including inventory control and quality control guidelines.
- Continuously strive to improve operational processes and suggest innovative solutions for increased efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of equipment usage and maintenance.
- Train and mentor new power equipment operators as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Excellent Equipment Operation Skills: A Power Equipment Operator At Costco Wholesale Must Have Extensive Experience And Expertise In Operating Various Types Of Power Equipment, Such As Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, And Cherry Pickers. They Should Also Be Able To Operate These Machines Safely And Efficiently.
