- Collect and process blood samples for clinical research studies in a timely and efficient manner.
- Adhere to strict protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and consistent sample collection and processing.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all safety and infection control guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with study participants, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the phlebotomy process.
- Accurately label, document, and track all collected samples to ensure proper identification and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient sample processing and data entry.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and restock as needed to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Follow all regulatory and ethical guidelines, including HIPAA and Good Clinical Practice (GCP), to ensure compliance and patient confidentiality.
- Attend training sessions and stay up-to-date on new procedures and techniques in the field of phlebotomy.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the laboratory manager or supervisor.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Certification In Phlebotomy From An Accredited Program
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience As A Phlebotomist In A Clinical Or Laboratory Setting
Familiarity With Standard Blood Collection Techniques And Equipment
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients Of All Ages And Backgrounds.
