- Safely and efficiently operate trains and manage freight movement across the rail network.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with train crews, dispatchers, and other personnel to coordinate movement of trains and freight.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of locomotives and equipment.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A Freight Conductor Position At Csx. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge Necessary For The Job.
Prior Railroad Experience: Previous Experience In The Railroad Industry, Such As Working As A Trainee Or In A Related Position, Is Often Preferred By Csx For A Freight Conductor Role.
