  1. Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of power generation equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  2. Perform repairs and replacements of components as needed to keep equipment running smoothly.
  3. Utilize technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues with controls systems.
  4. Monitor equipment performance and provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new controls strategies.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Electrical And Mechanical Systems: A Controls Technician At Cummins Must Have A Solid Understanding Of Both Electrical And Mechanical Systems, Including Their Components And Functions.

  • Troubleshooting Skills: A Key Responsibility Of A Controls Technician Is Troubleshooting And Diagnosing Issues With Equipment And Systems. This Requires Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Experience With Programmable Logic Controllers (Plcs): Cummins Utilizes Plcs In Their Equipment And Systems, So A Controls Technician Should Have Experience Working With And Programming These Devices.

  • Understanding Of Control Systems: Candidates Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Control Systems, Including Their Design, Operation, And Maintenance. This Includes Knowledge Of Control Theory, Instrumentation, And Process Control.
