Clinical Support
The Support, Clinical (Lab) receives, prepares and accessions laboratory specimens for designated departments/locations prior to laboratory analysis and testing along with performing specimen accessioning, data entry, processing and other technical and non-technical duties in the laboratory under the general supervision of the Technologist or Supervisor. Assist laboratory teammates with other delegated tasks as assigned. Records temperature of the packages according to the policies including safety and infection control. Unloads exception samples from Automation system. Grooms clotted samples. Transports racked and bulk samples to non-automated lab areas/refrigerators. Performs and records department maintenance for functions and equipment used daily. Prepares offline samples for testing (centrifuge and uncap).
Medical Terminology training preferred
0-2 years experience is required
