- Perform hemodialysis treatments on patients with kidney disease according to established protocols and procedures
- Monitor and record vital signs, fluid intake and output, and other important patient data during dialysis treatments
- Set up and operate dialysis machines and equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team
- Work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Assist with patient education and provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all dialysis treatments and patient progress
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
- Continuously assess and troubleshoot dialysis equipment to ensure optimal functioning
- Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to stay current on best practices and advancements in dialysis technology
- Demonstrate a commitment to compassionate care and promoting a positive work culture within the team.
Certified: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid Certification From A Recognized Organization Such As The Board Of Nephrology Examiners Nursing And Technology (Bonent) Or The National Nephrology Certification Organization (Nnco).
Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Dialysis Technician Is Required.
Knowledge Of Dialysis Equipment: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Dialysis Equipment, Including Hemodialysis Machines, Water Treatment Systems, And Dialysis Delivery Systems.
Patient Care Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Patient Care Skills, Including The Ability To Monitor Vital Signs, Administer Medications, And Provide Emotional Support To Patients.
Team Player: The Candidate Should Have Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills To Work Effectively With Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
