- Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms using specialized equipment and software.
- Record and analyze data from cardiac monitors, identifying any abnormal or concerning patterns.
- Alert healthcare providers of any changes or abnormalities in a patient's cardiac rhythm.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to determine appropriate treatment based on monitored data.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient monitoring and provide reports to healthcare providers as needed.
- Monitor and troubleshoot technical issues with cardiac monitoring equipment.
- Educate patients and their families on the use of cardiac monitoring equipment and provide instructions for at-home monitoring.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding patient confidentiality and data security.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on advancements in cardiac monitoring technology and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure a high standard of patient care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and maintained.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing clear and concise updates on patient status.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Qualification Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For The Role Of An Ep Monitor Technician At Deaconess Health System.
Certified Cardiac Rhythm Technician (Ccrt) Or Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (Crat): Deaconess Health System Prefers Candidates Who Have Completed A Certification Program In Cardiac Rhythm Monitoring, Such As Ccrt Or Crat.
Previous Experience In Cardiac Monitoring: Candidates With Previous Experience In Cardiac Monitoring, Either In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting, Are Preferred For The Role Of An Ep Monitor Technician At Deaconess Health System.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Good Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is A Crucial Qualification For An Ep Monitor Technician, As They Will Be Responsible For Accurately Documenting And Reporting Cardiac Rhythms And Events.
Strong Attention To Detail: The Role Of An Ep Monitor Technician Requires A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail, As They Will Be Monitoring And Interpreting Cardiac Rhythms For Patients.
