Lab Technical Security Lead

1. Develop and implement security policies and procedures for laboratory systems and data in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
2. Monitor and assess the security risk of laboratory systems and data, and make recommendations for improvements.
3. Train and educate laboratory and IT staff on security best practices and procedures.
4. Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and address them in a timely manner.
5. Collaborate with IT and laboratory teams to implement security controls and measures to protect sensitive data and critical systems.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends, and proactively implement preventative measures.
7. Act as a liaison between the laboratory and IT departments to ensure effective communication and cooperation on security matters.
8. Investigate and respond to security incidents, documenting and reporting them as necessary.
9. Lead incident response and recovery efforts in the event of a security breach.
10. Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for laboratory systems and data.
11. Conduct regular security training and awareness programs for all employees.
12. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to data privacy and security.
13. Manage relationships with security vendors and contractors.
14. Prepare and present security reports to management on a regular basis.
15. Continuously assess and improve security processes and procedures to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
