
Lab Technical Security Lead

- Develop and implement security policies and procedures for laboratory systems and data in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor and assess the security risk of laboratory systems and data, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Train and educate laboratory and IT staff on security best practices and procedures.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and address them in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with IT and laboratory teams to implement security controls and measures to protect sensitive data and critical systems.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends, and proactively implement preventative measures.
- Act as a liaison between the laboratory and IT departments to ensure effective communication and cooperation on security matters.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, documenting and reporting them as necessary.
- Lead incident response and recovery efforts in the event of a security breach.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for laboratory systems and data.
- Conduct regular security training and awareness programs for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to data privacy and security.
- Manage relationships with security vendors and contractors.
- Prepare and present security reports to management on a regular basis.
- Continuously assess and improve security processes and procedures to enhance the overall security posture of the organization.
Bachelor's Degree In Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Cybersecurity, With At Least 2 Years In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.
Expertise In Network Security, Vulnerability Management, And Incident Response.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations, Such As Hipaa And Hitech.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Various Stakeholders And Teams.
