
Operating Room Technician

- Assist surgical team in preparing operating room for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in working order.
- Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the operating room before, during, and after procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are available and ready for use.
- Assist in positioning and transferring patients to and from the operating room.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team.
- Assist with surgical procedures by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment to the surgical team.
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative patient care tasks, such as dressing changes and wound care.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide high-quality and efficient patient care.
- Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to maintain and enhance technical skills.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor while interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the operating room.
Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) - The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Valid Cst Certification From An Accredited Institution, Demonstrating Proficiency In Surgical Procedures And Techniques.
Prior Experience In An Operating Room Setting - Candidates With Previous Experience As An Operating Room Technician Or In A Related Role Will Be Preferred, As They Will Be Familiar With The Environment And Protocols Of An Operating Room.
Knowledge Of Equipment And Instruments - The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Surgical Equipment And Instruments, Including Their Set-Up, Maintenance, And Troubleshooting.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills - As An Operating Room Technician, The Candidate Will Be Expected To Work Closely With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills Are Vital For Success In This Role.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment - Operating Rooms Can Be Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environments, So The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Remain Calm, Organized, And Efficient Under Pressure. They Should Also Be Able To Prioritize Tasks And Adapt To Changing Situations Quickly.
