Patient Access Specialist

Deaconess Health System is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team. Our Patient Access Specialists play an integral role in ensuring patient satisfaction and ensuring a smooth patient intake process. If you have an excellent eye for detail, are highly organized, and have a passion for providing excellent customer service, then this may be the perfect job for you!The ideal candidate for this position will possess a minimum of three years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting, as well as a high school diploma or equivalent. He or she should also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the candidate should be comfortable working with a variety of computer systems and software programs. Above all, the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic team player who takes pride in providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide excellent customer service to patients throughout their intake process.
2. Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
3. Manage multiple computer systems and software programs.
4. Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient data in all patient files.
5. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and privacy for all patient information.
6. Assist in resolving patient complaints or issues in a timely manner.
7. Assist with the training and onboarding of new Patient Access Specialists.
8. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
9. Possess a minimum of three years of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
10. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
