1. Greet and welcome patients to Deaconess Health System in a warm and friendly manner.
2. Obtain and verify patient information, including personal and insurance details.
3. Accurately enter patient data into electronic medical records system.
4. Schedule appointments and coordinate with other departments as needed.
5. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and healthcare providers.
6. Communicate effectively with patients to explain intake procedures and answer any questions.
7. Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate insurance coverage and payment information.
8. Collect and process payments from patients for services rendered.
9. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
10. Monitor and maintain the patient waiting area to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.

12. Stay updated on changes in healthcare laws and regulations to ensure compliance in patient intake processes.
13. Assist with training and onboarding of new Patient Intake Specialists.
