- Register patients by collecting and verifying personal and insurance information.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and their families.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for all patients.
- Obtain necessary signatures and consent forms from patients.
- Accurately enter and maintain patient information in electronic medical records.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and efficient intake processes.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for services.
- Handle and resolve any patient concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Keep track of patient schedules and appointments, and assist with scheduling if needed.
- Regularly update and maintain patient records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with training and mentoring new Patient Intake Specialists.
- Continuously evaluate and improve intake processes to ensure efficiency and quality.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For The Patient Intake Specialist I Position At Deaconess Health System Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Possesses Basic Academic Skills And Knowledge To Perform The Job Duties Effectively.
