  1. Oversee and manage all aspects of payroll processing for Deaconess Health System, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all employee payments.
  2. Develop and maintain payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  3. Monitor and review payroll reports to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  4. Train and supervise a team of payroll specialists, providing guidance and support as needed.
  5. Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee status changes, deductions, and benefits.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
  7. Work closely with the finance team to reconcile payroll accounts and produce financial reports related to payroll expenses.
  8. Manage relationships with external vendors, such as payroll service providers, to ensure efficient and effective payroll processing.
  9. Serve as the main point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, providing exceptional customer service and timely resolution of issues.
  10. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing.
  11. Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information and adhere to all data privacy and security protocols.
  12. Support the organization's mission and values by fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  13. Participate in special projects and initiatives related to payroll and finance as assigned by the finance director.
  14. Attend relevant trainings and conferences to stay current on payroll trends and best practices.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Payroll Processing And Management.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Payroll Regulations, Including Tax Filing And Reporting Requirements.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Accuracy, With The Ability To Identify And Resolve Discrepancies.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With Experience In Supervising A Team And Managing Employee Relations.
