Sustainable Agriculture Specialist

Del Monte Foods is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Sustainable Agriculture Specialist to join our team. Our ideal candidate is passionate about sustainable agriculture and is knowledgeable in sustainable practices, processing, and management.The Sustainable Agriculture Specialist will work with key stakeholders in the agriculture community to ensure the sustainability of our food supply. The successful candidate will be required to develop, implement, and monitor sustainable practices and solutions to meet our company's sustainability goals. The Sustainable Agriculture Specialist will also provide training and technical assistance to farmers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, who is detail-oriented and has a passion for sustainability. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Studies, or a related field, and at least three years of experience in sustainable agriculture. Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and monitor sustainable practices and solutions to meet company sustainability goals.
2. Provide training and technical assistance to farmers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.
3. Monitor agricultural production systems and technologies to ensure sustainability.
4. Analyze and interpret data related to sustainability practices.
5. Develop and implement strategies to promote sustainable agriculture.
6. Manage projects and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with the agricultural community.
8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure sustainable agriculture initiatives are implemented effectively.
9. Stay current on developments in sustainable agriculture and related fields.
10. Prepare reports and presentations on sustainability initiatives.
