  1. Assist the Buyer in the purchasing process for the value chain category.
  2. Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor offerings.
  3. Prepare and analyze sales data to make informed buying decisions.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and inventory management.
  5. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
  6. Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of products.
  7. Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for restocking or discontinuing products.
  8. Assist in the development and execution of promotional strategies and sales events.
  9. Attend trade shows and buying trips to source new products and vendors.
  10. Support the planning and execution of product assortments and pricing strategies.
  11. Coordinate with the visual merchandising team to ensure effective product presentation.
  12. Monitor and report on sales performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  13. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards.
  14. Stay informed on industry and market trends, and make recommendations for adapting to changing conditions.
  15. Embody the company's mission and values, and promote a positive and inclusive work culture.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Supply Chain Management: The Assistant Buyer Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Retail Supply Chain, Including Sourcing, Procurement, Logistics, And Inventory Management.
