Job Description

We are currently seeking a Retail Price and Signage Lead to join our team at Dick's Sporting Goods. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our store is accurately priced and has clear and effective signage.   1. Develop pricing strategies and ensure they are implemented accurately in-store.
  2. Regularly review and update prices to stay competitive in the market.
  3. Collaborate with buying and merchandising teams to determine optimal pricing for products.
  4. Conduct regular price audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  5. Create and maintain effective signage throughout the store, including displays, banners, and shelf tags.
  6. Monitor inventory levels to ensure products are consistently stocked and priced correctly.
  7. Train and guide team members on price and signage procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  8. Communicate with store leadership regarding any pricing or signage issues or suggestions for improvement.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends and competitors' pricing strategies to inform decision-making.
  10. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to pricing and signage.
  11. Use data and analytics to make data-driven decisions and optimize pricing and signage strategies.
  12. Proactively identify and resolve any pricing or signage errors.
  13. Conduct regular store walks to ensure pricing and signage standards are being met.
  14. Monitor and track sales and pricing trends to make recommendations for pricing adjustments.
  15. Continuously improve and refine pricing and signage processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

  • Excellent Knowledge Of Retail Pricing Strategies And Techniques: A Retail Price And Signage Lead At Dick’s Sporting Goods Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Pricing Strategies And Techniques, Including Markdowns, Discounts, And Promotions. This Knowledge Will Enable Them To Effectively Manage And Update Pricing And Signage Throughout The Store.

  • Strong Analytical And Mathematical Skills: The Role Of A Retail Price And Signage Lead Requires A High Level Of Accuracy And Attention To Detail. Candidates Should Possess Strong Analytical And Mathematical Skills To Interpret Sales Data, Calculate Margins, And Make Informed Pricing Decisions.

  • Experience With Retail Merchandising And Inventory Management: As The Retail Price And Signage Lead, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Managing Inventory Levels And Ensuring Merchandise Is Accurately Priced And Presented On The Sales Floor. Previous Experience In Retail Merchandising And Inventory Management Is A Must For This Role.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: The Retail Price And Signage Lead Will Oversee A Team Of Associates Responsible For Maintaining Accurate Pricing And Signage In The Store. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Communication Skills Are Essential To Effectively Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance And Training, And Maintain A Positive And Productive Work Environment.

  • Familiarity With Retail Technology And Systems: Dick’s Sporting Goods Utilizes Various Retail Technology And Systems For Managing Pricing And Signage, Including Pos Systems, Price Scanners, And Inventory Management Software. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience Working With These Technologies And Be Able To Quickly Learn And Adapt To New Systems.
