  1. Providing exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
  2. Utilizing strong product knowledge to answer customer questions and make recommendations.
  3. Maintaining a clean and organized sales floor to create a positive shopping experience for customers.
  4. Processing transactions accurately and efficiently using the point of sale system.
  5. Actively engaging with customers to identify their needs and offer appropriate products and services.
  6. Continuously learning about new products and staying up-to-date on industry trends.
  7. Collaborating with team members to achieve sales goals and provide a seamless customer experience.
  8. Upholding company policies and procedures, including inventory management and loss prevention.
  9. Being a brand ambassador for Dick's Sporting Goods and representing the company in a professional manner.
  10. Assisting with merchandising and restocking products to ensure availability for customers.
  11. Maintaining a positive attitude and fostering a team-oriented work environment.
  12. Demonstrating a strong passion for sports and sharing this enthusiasm with customers.
  13. Providing support to the management team and taking on additional responsibilities as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Previous Retail Sales Experience: A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Retail Sales Role, Preferably In The Sporting Goods Industry, Is Required For This Position. This Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Ability To Effectively Communicate With Customers And Make Sales.

  • Knowledge Of Sporting Goods Products: A Strong Understanding Of The Products Sold At Dick’s Sporting Goods Is Essential For A Retail Sales Associate. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Types Of Sports Equipment, Clothing, And Accessories.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: The Ability To Provide Exceptional Customer Service Is A Must For This Role. This Includes Being Friendly, Approachable, And Knowledgeable About The Products In Order To Assist Customers And Meet Their Needs.

  • Strong Communication Skills: A Retail Sales Associate Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Both Customers And Other Team Members. This Includes Listening To Customer Needs, Providing Product Knowledge, And Working Collaboratively With Coworkers.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Working In A Retail Environment Can Be Fast-Paced And Demanding. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Work Efficiently And Multitask, While Maintaining A Positive Attitude And Providing Great Customer Service.
