Job Description

Dignity Health is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide quality patient care in our healthcare setting. The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced professional with a passion for healthcare and the desire to make a positive impact on patient outcomes. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to demonstrate empathy and respect when interacting with patients. The Nursing Assistant will be a key member of the healthcare team and must have a commitment to excellence and a desire to join a dynamic and diverse team. Required Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• Current CPR certification• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a healthcare setting preferred• Basic understanding of medical terminology• Ability to demonstrate empathy and respect for patients• Commitment to excellence and a desire to join a dynamic and diverse team

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist nurses and other healthcare professionals with patient care, including taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and providing bedside care.
  2. Ensure that all patient records are accurate and up to date.
  3. Assist with patient transfers and use of equipment.
  4. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  5. Follow established hospital policies and procedures.
  6. Provide patient education and support.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and other members of the healthcare team.
  8. Monitor patient progress and document information accurately.
  9. Respond to patient calls and inquiries in a timely manner.
  10. Assist with the administration of medications and treatments.
