- Conduct regular and thorough analysis of cyber threat intelligence to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within the organization.
- Develop and implement proactive strategies and techniques to prevent and mitigate cyber attacks.
- Monitor and analyze cyber security systems and tools to detect any suspicious activity or potential threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement incident response plans in the event of a cyber security breach.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and emerging threats in order to continuously improve the organization's cyber security posture.
- Conduct in-depth investigations and forensics analysis of cyber security incidents.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting of cyber security incidents and threat intelligence to key stakeholders.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to existing cyber security systems and processes to improve overall security posture.
- Educate and train employees on best practices for cyber security and data protection.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to other team members.
- Maintain and develop relationships with external partners and vendors to enhance threat intelligence capabilities.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and law enforcement agencies in the event of a cyber security incident.
- Participate in the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Continuously assess and improve incident response processes and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses and recommend remediation actions.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Cyber Threat Intelligence: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Current Cyber Threats, Including Tactics, Techniques, And Procedures Used By Threat Actors. They Should Also Be Familiar With Various Intelligence Sources And Methodologies For Collecting And Analyzing Threat Intelligence.
Extensive Experience In Incident Response And Threat Hunting: As A Principal Incident & Threat Analyst, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Background In Incident Response And Threat Hunting. This Includes Experience In Conducting Forensic Investigations, Identifying And Mitigating Threats, And Developing Incident Response Plans.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Identify And Assess Potential Threats, Analyze Complex Data Sets, And Provide Actionable Recommendations. They Should Also Be Able To Think Critically And Creatively To Anticipate And Respond To Emerging Threats.
Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: A Principal Incident & Threat Analyst Will Be Required To Communicate Complex Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders And Collaborate With Various Teams, Such As Security Operations, Risk Management, And Legal, To Coordinate Response Efforts. Therefore, Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.
Relevant Certifications And Education: A Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Security, Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Position. In Addition, Certifications Such As Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp), Certified Information Security Manager (Cism), Or Certified Ethical Hacker (Ceh) Would Be Highly Beneficial.
