Plant Accountant

Responsible for maintaining accurate labor standards and executes weekly reconciliation between production schedules and labor reports. Supports Plant Controller with product standard costing on Finished Goods by maintaining Bill of Materials; Scrap Rates; Raw Vegetables and Packaging Materials standard cost in JDE System. Develops, prepares, and analyzes reports for monthly close and financial reporting cycles and budgets. Uses reports to identify concerning trends, perform root-cause analyses, and suggest solutions to challenges. Manages open purchase orders at each period end to resolve issues with purchasing, receiving, and plant spending departments. Responsible for implementing internal controls to reduce discrepancies and increase efficiencies. Engages with BPMS process by reviewing/approving invoices, providing with appropriate G/L account information and correct approval flow.
