- Develop and execute the product roadmap for DoorDash, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality and innovative solutions to customers.
- Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple technical projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and within budget delivery.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, tracking progress and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, and proactively address any roadblocks to ensure successful project delivery.
- Act as a liaison between various teams, including engineering, design, and product, to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Mentor and guide junior program managers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to improve product development processes and strategies.
Extensive Project Management Experience: A Senior Technical Program Manager At Doordash Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Managing Complex Technical Projects, Preferably In A Fast-Paced Environment. They Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Projects Simultaneously And Have A Proven Track Record Of Delivering Projects On Time And Within Budget.
Technical Background: A Strong Technical Background Is A Must For A Senior Technical Program Manager At Doordash. They Should Have A Degree In Computer Science Or A Related Field And Possess A Deep Understanding Of Software Development Processes, Methodologies, And Tools. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Engineering Teams And Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Technical Stakeholders.
Product Management Skills: A Senior Technical Program Manager Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Product Management Principles And Practices. They Should Be Able To Work Collaboratively With Product Managers And Designers To Define Product Requirements And Prioritize Features Based On Business Goals And Customer Needs.
Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Senior Role, A Senior Technical Program Manager Should Have Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills. They Should Be Able To Motivate And Inspire Their Team, Resolve Conflicts, And Drive Alignment Across Cross-Functional Teams.
