- Conduct thorough and detailed analysis of civil design and engineering concepts to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to develop and implement innovative solutions for complex engineering problems.
- Provide technical expertise and support for the design, construction, and maintenance of nuclear power plant structures and systems.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of plant systems and structures to identify potential areas for improvement and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians to ensure their professional growth and development.
- Monitor and analyze data and performance metrics to identify trends and make recommendations for optimization and improvement.
- Participate in the development and implementation of training programs for plant staff to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects related to plant modifications, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Stay updated on industry developments and advancements in nuclear engineering to continuously improve processes and procedures at the nuclear facility.
Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Engineering Or A Related Field From An Accredited University.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Civil Design Support For Nuclear Power Plants.
Professional Engineer (Pe) License In The State Of North Carolina (Or Ability To Obtain Within 6 Months).
Knowledge And Understanding Of Nuclear Regulatory Requirements, Codes, And Standards.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
