Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Nuclear Configuration Management Specialist to join our team at the Harris Nuclear Plant. As a Senior Nuclear Configuration Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our nuclear operations through effective management of configuration changes and documentation. We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in nuclear configuration management and a passion for safety and compliance.   1. Develop and implement configuration management procedures and processes for the Harris Nuclear Plant in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Ensure all changes to plant equipment, systems, and documentation are properly evaluated, approved, and implemented in a timely manner.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review and analyze proposed changes and their potential impact on plant safety, reliability, and compliance.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all plant configuration changes, including drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  5. Conduct periodic audits and assessments to verify the accuracy and completeness of plant configuration data.
  6. Identify and resolve configuration discrepancies and issues, working closely with plant personnel and external vendors as needed.
  7. Monitor industry trends and best practices related to configuration management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  8. Provide training and support to plant personnel on configuration management processes and procedures.
  9. Serve as the point of contact for regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections related to configuration management.
  10. Stay current with all applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines related to nuclear configuration management.
  11. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, from front-line employees to senior management, to promote a strong culture of safety and compliance.
  12. Serve as a subject matter expert on configuration management and provide guidance and support to other team members as needed.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and continuous learning.
  14. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, and report any potential safety hazards or violations.
  15. Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Nuclear Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Nuclear Configuration Management At A Nuclear Power Plant.

  • Thorough Understanding Of Nrc Regulations And Industry Standards Related To Configuration Management.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Nuclear Plant Systems, Structures, And Components, And Their Interrelationships.

  • Certification In Configuration Management, Such As A Cmii Or Cmi Certification, Preferred.
