Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented DBA Analyst to join Duke University’s IT team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the database industry, and be a self-starter who can analyze and troubleshoot database issues. This individual should possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, as well as at least five years of experience in an IT, database, or related field. Additional qualifications include a fundamental understanding of database concepts, the ability to write and execute SQL queries, and prior experience with database administration and design. The successful candidate should also have experience with database optimization, performance tuning, and data security. About Duke University

Duke University is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892. In 1924, tobacco and electric power industrialist James Buchanan Duke established The Duke Endowment and the institution changed its name to honor his deceased father, Washington Duke.
