Veterinary Technician

In this role, you will be responsible for providing veterinary care and support to laboratory animals used in research and development studies.The successful candidate should have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology, and/or a minimum of two years' experience in a veterinary technology role. You must demonstrate the ability to take initiative, be reliable, and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities:

1. Administer veterinary care and support to laboratory animals used in research and development studies.
2. Monitor animal health and well-being and ensure the humane treatment of animals in accordance with industry standards.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a veterinarian.
4. Assist with the maintenance of animal records and provide reports to veterinarian staff.
5. Monitor animal housing and environment and ensure all safety protocols are met.
6. Provide guidance and assistance to other veterinary technicians and staff.
7. Assist with the procurement and maintenance of laboratory animal supplies.
8. Participate in training programs for new and existing staff.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
10. Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
