Job Description

Elevance Health is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Data Analyst Intern. Our ideal candidate is a highly organized problem solver who is passionate about working with data and enjoys working collaboratively. The successful applicant will have a strong background in data analysis, an aptitude for understanding complex systems, and the ability to interpret and explain results in meaningful ways.The Data Analyst Intern will have the opportunity to work with a team of data scientists, clinical staff, and product owners to analyze and visualize meaningful patterns in data. The role requires an attention to detail, excellent communication and organization skills, and the ability to work independently towards specific goals.To be considered for the role, applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Knowledge of programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL is essential, as is experience using analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel. A working knowledge of healthcare data is also preferred.We look forward to hearing from enthusiastic, customer-oriented candidates with a strong technical background and a passion for data analysis.

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and visualize meaningful patterns in data
  2. Compile and organize data to detect trends and correlations
  3. Design experiments and statistical analysis to answer specific questions
  4. Develop reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders
  5. Collaborate with data scientists, clinical staff, and product owners to develop data models and algorithms
  6. Utilize programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL to develop data-driven solutions
  7. Use analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel to create interactive dashboards
  8. Stay up-to-date with changes in healthcare data regulations and best practices
  9. Develop strategies to improve data accuracy and accuracy
  10. Develop and maintain data governance and security protocols
