
Director, Pharmacist in Charge
Elevance Health is looking for a highly responsible and experienced Director, Pharmacist in Charge to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all pharmacy operations and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. We are looking for a strategic leader who is passionate about providing quality care and exceptional customer service to our patients.To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, advanced training in pharmacy management, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. They should also possess excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. The Director, Pharmacist in Charge must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, clients, patients, and other stakeholders.The right person for this role will have a strong commitment to Elevance Health’s mission and a deep understanding of the pharmacy industry. Responsibilities:
- Oversee all pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure patient safety and improve customer service.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document pharmacy performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including suppliers, professional associations, and regulatory bodies.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for pharmacy operations.
- Manage and train pharmacy staff, including hiring, performance management, and professional development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory and medication orders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Monitor industry trends and ensure the pharmacy is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide accurate and timely information to customers and other stakeholders.
