  1. Provide strategic legal guidance and support to Elevance Health and its subsidiaries.
  2. Manage a wide range of legal matters, including but not limited to contracts, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  3. Conduct legal research and stay informed on industry trends and changes in healthcare laws and regulations.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
  5. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  7. Communicate complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-legal colleagues.
  8. Provide legal support for corporate transactions and initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions.
  9. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  10. Manage outside counsel and other legal resources.
  11. Stay abreast of industry developments and provide proactive legal advice to support the company's growth and success.
  12. Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
  13. Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior within the organization.
  14. Mentor and train junior legal team members.
  15. Represent the company in legal proceedings and maintain a positive reputation in the legal community.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School

  • Minimum Of 8 Years Of Experience Practicing Law, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry

  • Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Laws And Regulations, Including Hipaa And Medicare/Medicaid

  • Demonstrated Experience In Managing A Team Of Attorneys And Legal Staff

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With A Proven Track Record Of Providing Legal Counsel To Senior Executives And Making Sound Business Decisions.
