- Provide virtual care and support to patients through the 24/7 Nurse Helpline.
- Assess patient’s needs and provide appropriate medical advice and treatment recommendations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Utilize evidence-based practice and clinical knowledge to provide high-quality and safe care to patients.
- Respond to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and empathetic manner.
- Educate patients on preventive care, self-care, and management of chronic conditions.
- Stay updated on current healthcare trends and advancements to continuously improve patient care.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Nurse Helpline.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with patients and colleagues.

- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of new processes and protocols.

Advanced Education And Certification: A Nurse Practitioner (Np) For The Virtual 24/7 Nurse Helpline At Elevance Health Should Have A Master's Or Doctorate Degree In Nursing And Be Certified As An Np By A Recognized National Nursing Organization.
Clinical Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience As An Np, Preferably In A Telehealth Or Virtual Care Setting. This Will Ensure They Have The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Provide Quality Care Through Telephone Or Online Consultations.
Proficiency In Telehealth Technology: The Np Should Be Well-Versed In Using Telehealth Technology, Such As Virtual Video Consultations And Electronic Medical Records Systems. They Should Also Be Comfortable Using Various Communication Platforms To Provide Virtual Care To Patients.
Strong Communication Skills: As The Primary Point Of Contact For Patients Seeking Medical Advice, The Np Should Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written. This Includes The Ability To Explain Complex Medical Information In A Clear And Concise Manner And To Actively Listen To Patients' Concerns.
Ability To Work Independently: The Role Of A Nurse Practitioner At The Virtual 24/7 Nurse Helpline Requires A High Level Of Autonomy And Self-Motivation. The Ideal Candidate Should Have The Ability To Make Sound Clinical Decisions, Manage A Caseload, And Work Independently Without Direct Supervision. They Should Also Be Able To Collaborate Effectively With Other Healthcare Professionals When Needed.
