  1. Provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients with kidney disease undergoing dialysis treatment.
  2. Monitor and assess patient's condition, vital signs, and response to treatment, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plan.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Educate patients and their families about kidney disease, dialysis treatment, and self-care techniques.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  6. Ensure proper documentation of patient's progress and treatment in medical records.
  7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  8. Stay updated on current nursing practices and procedures related to dialysis treatment.
  9. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families during the dialysis process.
  10. Advocate for patients' needs and rights, and act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.
  11. Collaborate with healthcare team to identify and address any potential complications or issues related to dialysis treatment.
  12. Participate in staff meetings and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to dialysis treatment.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, families, and colleagues.
  14. Adhere to ethical and professional standards of nursing practice at all times.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve upon the quality of care provided to patients.

Job Qualifications

  • Current Rn Licensure: A Dialysis Registered Nurse At Encompass Health Must Hold A Current And Valid Registered Nurse License In The State Where The Facility Is Located.

  • Dialysis Certification: Candidates Must Possess A Valid Certification In Nephrology Nursing (Cnn) Or Certified Dialysis Nurse (Cdn) From A Nationally Recognized Certifying Body, Such As The Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission Or The Board Of Nephrology Examiners Nursing And Technology.

  • Clinical Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In An Acute Care Setting, With At Least 1 Year Of Experience In Dialysis Nursing.

  • Knowledge Of Dialysis Equipment And Procedures: Applicants Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Dialysis Equipment And Procedures, Including The Ability To Operate, Troubleshoot, And Maintain Dialysis Machines And Related Equipment.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills: A Successful Dialysis Registered Nurse Should Possess Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team To Provide High-Quality Patient Care.
