
Occupational Therapy Assistant

- Provide direct occupational therapy services to patients under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their maximum potential and improve their quality of life.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the occupational therapist and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques and exercises to be continued at home.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment.
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards and follow company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow infection control protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
- Provide support and assistance to patients in daily living activities.
- Assist with the maintenance and organization of therapy equipment and supplies.
- Act as an advocate for patients and promote their rights and independence.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in occupational therapy.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the occupational therapist or supervisor.
Current Certification From The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot).
Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Rehabilitation Or Acute Care Setting.
State Licensure As An Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Variety Of Patients And Healthcare Professionals.
