Manager - US Public Policy & Advocacy

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Manager of US Public Policy & Advocacy to join the Etsy team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the craft of policy and advocacy that supports Etsy’s mission to reimagine commerce in ways that build a more fulfilling and lasting world.We’re looking for a self-starter with strong policy and advocacy acumen, who’s comfortable working independently and as part of a team. You should bring a collaborative spirit, a creative and ambitious approach to problem solving, and a commitment to social and environmental justice.The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in public policy, public affairs, and/or advocacy. You should be highly organized, have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and be an experienced project manager. Responsibilities:

1. Lead the policy and advocacy efforts to support Etsy’s mission.
2. Develop and execute advocacy strategies and policy initiatives.
3. Liaise with elected officials, policymakers, and advocacy organizations.
4. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments.
5. Prepare policy-related materials, such as research reports and briefings.
6. Craft messaging and talking points for policy and advocacy efforts.
7. Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders.
8. Effectively communicate policy positions to internal and external stakeholders.
9. Manage projects and coordinate with internal and external teams.
10. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
