
Merchandise Assistant Manager
We are looking for an experienced Merchandise Assistant Manager to join the Family Dollar team! We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual that is committed to delivering top-notch customer service. As a Merchandise Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for managing the store inventory, assisting with merchandising activities, and helping to ensure that our customers have an enjoyable shopping experience. The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent organizational and communication skills, be able to multitask effectively, and possess a strong work ethic. Required Qualifications:• Minimum of 2 years of retail experience• Proven track record of success in sales and merchandising• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends• Experience in creating and implementing strategies to improve sales• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Working knowledge of computer systems and applications• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds• High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities:
- Managing store inventory, ensuring products are correctly stocked and replenished.
- Assisting with merchandising activities, such as setting up displays and organizing products.
- Helping customers with their selections, answering questions, and providing product knowledge.
- Creating and implementing strategies to improve sales and customer service.
- Maintaining store cleanliness and appearance.
- Updating computer systems with customer orders and inventory information.
- Assisting with training and development of store staff.
- Ensuring store policies and procedures are followed.
- Monitoring store security and safety.
- Performing regular inventory audits and stock counts.
