
Merchandise Assistant Manager
As the Merchandise Assistant Manager at Family Dollar, you will be an integral part of the store’s success, leading the merchandise team and helping to ensure that our customers have an excellent shopping experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized individual who is passionate about providing excellent customer service and driving sales. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the merchandise department, ensuring product is well-stocked, and organizing merchandise displays.The ideal candidate for this position must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in retail management and demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. The ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure is essential. Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all daily operations of the merchandise department, including stocking and organizing product.
- Ensuring product is well-stocked and merchandise displays are attractive and organized.
- Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and improve customer service.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors.
- Supervising and training store associates in product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.
- Monitoring store performance metrics and developing action plans to improve results.
- Assisting with inventory management and ordering of merchandise.
- Complying with all company policies and procedures.
- Handling customer complaints and inquiries in a professional manner.
- Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
