- Safely and efficiently load and unload packages and freight from trucks and trailers using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Accurately scan and sort packages and freight according to destination and delivery method.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding package and freight movement and any potential issues or delays.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures for handling and processing packages and freight.
- Operate equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Meet productivity and performance standards set by the company.
- Report any damaged packages or freight to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisors.
Physical Fitness: Freight Handling Can Be A Physically Demanding Job, Involving The Lifting And Moving Of Heavy Packages And Boxes. Candidates For This Position Should Possess Good Physical Strength And Stamina To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
