  1. Sort and organize packages according to destination and delivery deadlines.
  2. Load and unload packages onto delivery trucks and ensure proper placement and security.
  3. Operate equipment such as forklifts and hand trucks to move and position packages.
  4. Verify package information and ensure accuracy for delivery.
  5. Meet and exceed daily productivity and performance goals.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  8. Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
  9. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of packages.
  10. Report any issues or discrepancies with packages or equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
  11. Adapt to changing work demands and schedules to meet customer needs.
  12. Attend and participate in training and development programs to improve job performance.
  13. Collaborate with team members to continuously improve processes and productivity.
  14. Lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 75 pounds.
  15. Follow company policies and procedures to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Ability To Lift And Move Packages Weighing Up To 75 Pounds: As A Package Handler, One Of The Main Responsibilities Is To Load And Unload Packages From Delivery Trucks. This Requires Physical Strength And The Ability To Handle Heavy Packages Safely.

  • Familiarity With Package Sorting And Handling Procedures: A Successful Package Handler Should Have A Good Understanding Of How Packages Are Sorted And Handled Within The Fedex System. This Includes Knowledge Of Different Package Types, Labeling Requirements, And Handling Fragile Items.

  • Basic Computer And Data Entry Skills: Package Handlers Are Required To Use Computer Systems To Track And Sort Packages, Update Delivery Statuses, And Enter Package Information. Basic Computer Skills And The Ability To Type Accurately Are Essential For This Role.
